Thousands of students occupy Austrian universities – Interview with Roman, REVOLUTION Austria
A mass, direct action movement has broken out in Austria against planned attacks on the university education system.
It all started when The Fine Art Academy was occupied by a small number of students who were protesting at plans by the Austrian education ministry to introduce a three-tier degree system. Students were furious that many of them would be unable to access the higher ‘masters’ qualification and that their choice over what subjects to focus on would be dictated from above.
John from London asked Roman from REVOLUTION Austria to report from inside the occupation

Sweden: Salem 2008 sees gross attacks on protesters' democratic rights
The swedish fascist movement has carried out vicious attacks on anti-fascists, anti-racists and the left in the run up to the annual demonstrations in Salem. Here, Swedish REVOLUTION report.
Fight racism! Smash fascism!
While capitalism goes into crisis, resulting in a rise in unemployment and more ferocious attacks on the living standard and rights of working class people, racism is on the rise. In many countries in Europe racist populist politicians and outspoken neo-fascist forces is doing what they can to direct angriness and frustration over the system that creates poverty, oppression, environmental disasters and never ending wars for their own purposes. Instead of blaming the capitalist system, they blame refugees and immigrants for the crisis.
