Solidarity with the youth on the street in France!

//message of solidarity with youth fighting against, racism, poverty, unemployment, police repression and a call to action in defence of their social and political rights.

//REVOLUTION International Council //2005-11-23

We express our complete solidarity with the youth who have been engaged in pitched battles with the racist police in France for the last three weeks. Their brave actions are a defensive response to interior minister Sarkozy's inflammatory call to ‘scour the scum off the streets’ of impoverished French suburbs.They are a response to years of police racism and intimidation of young people. They are rooted in the poverty, inequality and mass unemployment that is the reality of life for the forgotten poor of the French suburbs.

Build A New Revolutionary Youth International

In an era in which neoliberalism is working remorselessly to tear down all barriers to the plundering of corporate capital, when imperialist armies have bombed or invaded Serbia, Afghanistan and Iraq a mighty movement of spontaneous resistance has arisen on all continents. Young people, workers, peasants, indigenous peoples have been organising an international fightback across borders and continents.

Shut down the G8 in Gleneagles!

//REVOLUTION //International Delegate Conference, Vienna //2005-05-15

From: info@worldrevolution.info
To: leaders@g8.com

Dear G8,

Hello again. We hope you’re looking forward to your visit to Gleneagles in July. It brings back fond memories of the last time you were in Britain in 1998, when a chain of 70,000 protesters surrounded your meeting in Birmingham, doesn’t it? Of course, those protests started a bit of a trend, so this time you’ll be meeting further off the beaten track, in a bunker on a golf course in Gleneagles. But don’t worry! We’re still coming up to give you all a warm welcome.

Stop state repression against Basque youth!

//WORLD REVOLUTION //International Coordination Committee //2005-01-20

Forty-two Basque youth will be on trial in Madrid sometime in February or March. They are activists of the prohibited youth organization SEGI, or of the previously prohibited youth organizations JARRAI and HAIKA, and accused of being terrorists. They are faced with a total of 654 years in prison.

Solidarity with the victims of the Tsunami

//WORLD REVOLUTION //International Coordination Comittee //2005-01-18

On the December 26th 2004 the world witnessed a horrific natural disaster. An earthquake of 9.1 on the Richter scale struck the Indian Ocean. From that earthquake a tsunami wave preceded to devastate 11 countries in the region at the speed of a jet. Thousands of dead bodies were found as the massive killer waves subsided. The death count now stands at 150,000 people, with many more missing and a further 5 million made homeless, leaving them vulnerable to starvation, water borne diseases and malnutrition. The final death toll is still impossible to predict. WORLD REVOLUTION expresses its complete sympathy and solidarity with the victims of this disaster and our commitment to work alongside our section in Indonesia to deliver practical relief and aid.

Statement on the US Presidential Elections

//WORLD REVOLUTION //International Coordination Comittee //2004-10-30

To the young people of the United States:

On November 2 you will be called on to vote for president - at least those of you who are over 18 and are US citizens and have a permanent address.

Polls have shown that a clear majority of 18 to 35-year olds are opposed to Bush. And with good reason! In the last four years Bush has launched the country into two major wars, and it is the young who are called on to fight and die for the profits of American oil companies.

Statement on the First Anniversary of the Iraq War

//WORLD REVOLUTION //International Coordination Committe //2004-03-11

On the 15th of February 2003 we saw the emergence of a movement rising against the imperialist war on Iraq. Between 20-30 million went out to protest in more than 600 cities around the world. It was a major historical event – the biggest co-ordinated protest on an international level that has ever been seen.
