At least 15 activists from the “Free-Gaza” campaign were killed this morning on a ship, part of a flotilla trying to enter the Gaza strip to bring humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

REVOLUTION calls for general strike, shoras and a constituent assembly to bring down the government!

After bombing the city of Gaza, one of the most densely populated areas of the world, for one week the Israeli army went for a ground invasion, starting this Saturday. We call on all socialist and progressive forces to stand in solidarity with the resistance against this murderous and reactionary attack.

Solidarity from British youth and workers to Italian youth and workers
The movement by student and workers in Italy over the last few months is an inspiration to all those in Europe facing similar battles as the recession takes hold.

On Saturday night Greek police murdered 15 year old Andreas Grigoropoulos at what was meant to be an enjoyable party with his friends.

In the last weeks Italian workers and students have taken to the streets in opposition to the right-wing ruling coalition, and in particular the vicious attacks on the education system. REVOLUTION expresses solidarity with all those taking part.

Different representatives of the ruling class of Israel and the US have increased pressure against Iran again. It was Hillary Clinton who started with saying that she would eliminate Iran if it would attack Israel. The designated candidate for the US presidential elections, Barack Obama, followed suit and made clear with his speech in front of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) that he is a “friend of Israel”. In this speech he also emphasised that “there is no greater threat to Israel – or to the peace and stability of the region – than Iran” and that his “goal will be to eliminate this threat”.

After the devastating earthquake that rocked China on 12th May, the official figures show 19,500 dead and the real toll could be as much as 50,000, while the search for trapped people continues. The government is mobilising 30,000 extra troops to Sichuan province, which was hit worst, to help the 50,000 already searching. But relatives of those missing are also taking the search into their own hands – including parents at Juyuan Middle School about 50km from quake’s epicentre, where around 900 children were in the rubble.
