Fight racism! Smash fascism!

While capitalism goes into crisis, resulting in a rise in unemployment and more ferocious attacks on the living standard and rights of working class people, racism is on the rise. In many countries in Europe racist populist politicians and outspoken neo-fascist forces is doing what they can to direct angriness and frustration over the system that creates poverty, oppression, environmental disasters and never ending wars for their own purposes. Instead of blaming the capitalist system, they blame refugees and immigrants for the crisis. Their campaign is aimed towards violently attacking the rights of refugees and immigrants, as well as smashing up the progressive movements of the oppressed.

The time to fight back is now. We must not let these forces grow further and become stronger. This is ultimately a question of defending ourselves and our struggles. REVOLUTION, being active in antiracist and antifascist struggles in all the countries where we exist, believes that we need to build an international fight-back against racism and fascism. When fascists and racists organise international meetings and demonstrations, we must respond with the broadest working class mobilisations.

We should call for mass demonstrations, strike actions, blockades and eventually the breaking up of the activities of the fascists. We should call for this in all working class organisations, and mobilise especially in immigrant areas and among the youth. In this work we need to strengthen the solidarity between the oppressed. The struggle against racism and fascism goes hand in hand with the struggle against the system that gives rise to these forces – global capitalism. Antifascism and class struggle therefore needs to be connected.
